Is Duck Creek Village safe from the current Cottonwood Fire?

Yes. The Cottonwood Fire is located north of Beaver, Utah, which is several dozen miles away from our mountain property. While emergency teams are making great progress and the fire is 25% contained, our local village remains entirely safe and unaffected by the active burn zone.

Can we use the outdoor fire pit at the cabin during Stage 2 Fire Restrictions?

No. Under the current Stage 2 Fire Restrictions issued for the Dixie National Forest, all open wood fires are strictly prohibited, including wood-burning fire pits at private homes. However, you are completely free to use gas-powered outdoor grills and camp stoves that feature a simple shut-off valve.

Do we need a special permit to hike Kanarra Falls?
